HOW TO GET TO THE INTERNATIONAL FILM INSITUTE
OF NEW YORK


Planes       Trains       Automobiles

The IFI residing on the Manhattan campus of  Metropolitan College of New York located at 75 Varick Street in New York City, can be reached by aeroplane, commuter train, or automobile.

By Car:
The College can be reached from the West Side Highway or the East River Drive by exiting at Canal Street and driving to the corner of Varick Street. Parking is available in private lots. The College is located on floors 12 and 14.


By Air:
For visitors coming into LaGuardia, Kennedy, or Newark airports, taxi service is available to the campus (about $20 from LaGuardia, at least $40 from Kennedy), and there is bus service to Grand Central Station and the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Bus service directly from LaGuardia airport to Columbia, the M60 city bus, is also available.


By Train:

Railroad: Take the Long Island Railroad or New Jersey Transit to Penn Station. Take the New Jersey PATH train to Christopher Street or Chambers Street. Take Metro North trains to Grand Central Terminal and the shuttle train to Times Square. Follow subway directions to Metropolitan College of New York.


By New York City Public Transportation:
Subway: Take the A, C, or E train to Canal Street and walk 1 block west to Varick Street. You may also take the 1 or 9 train to Canal Street.
