One-Week program is designed as a comprehensive overview of the process of making films from script through Screening. Along with informative seminars students will explore the technical side of the process by getting hands on experience with Cameras, Lights and Sound equipment.

We consider our program to be one of the top Summer Film Schools in New York City. We are extremely proud of the work that is produced by our students. Whether it is a narrative, documentary, or experimental, the work is a reflection of our attention to storytelling and our unparalleled focus on the development of the individual student. The goal of our Faculty and Staff is to ensure every participant is prepared to make the best possible film. Visiting School from Oman, The British School-Muscat, came to New York City to take part in an intensive lighting class provided by the IFI. It was a great day and a great group.

The Results are coming IN
Students that took part in our Summer 2012 Filmmaking Intensive at Sarah Lawrence College are getting their acceptance letters to schools across the country. As of today, students from our group, have been accepted into Sarah Lawrence College, Emerson College, New York University, University of Southern California, University of California Los Angeles, and Syracuse University to name a few. Just a note, they were accepted into the FILM programs of these schools! Congratulations to all of them! It was an incredible group of students and they produced an impressive body of work within a very short period of time.
