Courses approved for College Credit through Sarah Lawrence College

The Filmmakers Collective and Filmmakers Week programs have been approved to receive academic credit from Sarah Lawrence College.  They have been reviewed by the school’s Committee on Instruction and approved to provide the following credit options.

Filmmakers Collective Program – 3 or 5 College Credits

Filmmakers Week program – 1 College Credit

Note: Credit transfer policies are inherently subjective, and every college has a different set of standards. If you are currently enrolled at a college or university, please consult your registrar’s office to confirm the transfer eligibility of Sarah Lawrence Credit hours into your program of study. If you are in high school, a guidance counselor can advise on options available to you.

The base tuition of all courses does not include credit options.   If you are interested in receiving college credit please let us know and we will provide details regarding the additional cost and registration requirements with the College.

As part of a long-running partnership, Sarah Lawrence College and the International Film Institute of New York (IFI) offer a unique opportunity to learn the art of filmmaking in an in-depth, supportive, and intimate program.

This program is designed to immerse the student from screenplay through post-production in an intensive course of study. Prepare to work evenings and weekends as necessary. This program is open to adults and high school students.

This summer, the Filmmakers Collective is available for 3 or 5 college credits. For more information please contact Professor Misael Sanchez at msanchez@sarahlawrence.edu or the IFI at 718-796-4104.
